We're committed to enhancing vision and nurturing a sustainable future for generations ahead. This year, we've added 200 more trees to our ADVANCE NOW FOREST in partnership with Treedom, bringing our three-year total to 600 trees. These trees will collectively absorb an impressive 181,000 kilograms of CO2 in the first 10 years of their lifetime.
With Treedom's agroforestry projects, we pursue 12 out of the 17 sustainable development goals (SDG) set by the United Nations member states for 2030. Treedom projects aim to have a positive impact not only on the environment they intervene in but also on the people who inhabit it. This is why project areas are located in developing countries, where the benefits of trees can truly make a difference. Communities are built step by step, acquiring skills that they can in turn pass on to others, and all the trees planted remain the property of the farmers who take care of them. Fruit trees, in particular, enrich their diet and offer them an income opportunity through sales in local markets. Explore the map below to discover the precise locations of our thriving trees.
Treedom is the first platform in the world that allows you to plant a tree from a distance and follow the story of the project online. Since Treedom’s foundation in 2010, more than 4 million trees have been planted across Africa, South America and Asia. All trees are planted directly by local farmers, bringing environmental, social and financial benefits to their communities.
We are proud to share that we have maximized the benefits of our 6.5 kW solar panel system, installed last year. This system offsets approximately 3,650 kg of CO₂ emissions annually and generated 6,100 kWh of clean energy. Additionally, we have completely refurbished our office fixtures, enhancing both sound and heat insulation. This upgrade is expected to reduce our heating consumption by 20%, creating a more energy-efficient and comfortable workplace environment.
This year, we’ve introduced a free additional health policy for all employees. This comprehensive program includes coverage for health issues, preventive care, and specialist services, ensuring that our people have the support and ease of mind they need to thrive, anywhere they are. Global medical support ensures that traveling employees feel secure and confident, enabling them to perform at their best. This initiative extends beyond standard health coverage, highlighting our unwavering commitment to employee well-being.
By prioritizing both physical and emotional health, we not only enhance workforce stability but also lay the groundwork for long-term success. Furthermore, our new health insurance program, combined with continuous enhancements to our risk assessment strategy, has significantly bolstered our Business Continuity Plan (BCP). These efforts have shifted our risk management approach firmly into the Proactive and Resilient spectrum, ensuring we are better prepared for future challenges.
