Advance Medical and Optimec Announce Integration of FocalPoints and is830 for Enhanced Contact Lens Metrology

As metrology plays an increasingly crucial role in contact lens manufacturing, Advance Medical and Optimec Systems are pleased to announce their collaboration on the development of a new approach to contact lens metrology. The integration of FocalPoints and the is830 lens imaging system promises to revolutionise geometric inspection systems by utilising Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) technology to provide faster, more accurate, and more informative data across multiple stages of production.

The FP/is830 Integration allows the instrument to integrate with the FocalPoints environment, opening up access to the comprehensive range of measurements of geometric lens parameters provided by the is830's non-contact OCT measurement technology.

By streamlining the inspection process through a simple bar-code scanning feature, measured parameters are transferred automatically, and quantitative and qualitative controls become fast and intuitive. All data is then stored in the lens history for complete traceability.

The integration of FocalPoints and the is830 lens imaging system represents a significant advancement in contact lens metrology, providing manufacturers with a faster, more accurate, and more efficient inspection process. The Integration has beeen announced at the 49th EFCLIN Congress which took place in The Hague the 20-22 of April 2023.
