Latest FocalPoints Enhancements and Updates

August 2023 - Go to FocalPoints Overview

The latest release of the Lambda-X NIMO Integration, brings an useful enhancement: the dynamic visualization of the Cross-Section Power Map. This new feature offers a better experience by presenting the desired cross-section directly on the map, accompanied by its corresponding chart. Operators can effortlessly explore each cross-section with the simple click of a mouse, empowering users to make informed decisions with ease.

In our most recent FocalPoints update, we've introduced a convenient enhancement related to DAC Lathes. Now, in cases where the Raw Blank Thickness value hasn't been measured during the blocking process, the Lathe Supervisor offers two options: the Operator can either input the value directly or the system can prevent further proceedings. This ensures data accuracy and process integrity.

In the Launch In Production module, we've introduced an highly requested feature. Now, there's an option to prevent the launch of a job if the selected material is out-of-stock. Previously, the module issued a warning, allowing operators to address the issue as they saw fit. However, in response to the need for tighter quality control, Lab Managers can now opt to block the job in all cases.

Material Management Improvements

In the Label Editor module, we've introduced a new capability. Now, you can effortlessly convert numerical variables into Diopters or Millimetres. By selecting the DPT or MM formatting option in the Editor, the parameter will automatically transform into your chosen format. Numerical variables can also be printed in your preferred units of measurement.
